The innovative fastening system LIGNOLOC® not only excites us. The first collated nail made of wood also convinced the expert committee and received the general building authority approval for “load-bearing wooden connections using LIGNOLOC® wooden nails” on August 28, 2020. After extensive tests and complex calculation models, all expectations of the expert committee were met.
LIGNOLOC® is probably one of the best tested nails ever. Since wooden nails are not yet covered by a standard, the test results had to give the committee of experts the confidence they needed to approve the product for 50 years of use in construction.
The approval enables the planning, design and execution of load-bearing connections in timber frame construction. Planks and panels made of solid timber, wood-based materials or gypsum fiber can be attached to wood building materials using LIGNOLOC® wooden nails.
In addition, connections can be made with LIGNOLOC® to produce bracing and load-bearing wall diaphragms. LIGNOLOC® opens up completely new possibilities in ecological timber construction. More sustainable. Nail by nail.
LIGNOLOC® wooden nails are sustainable without compromising on performance and efficiency.
LIGNOLOC® wooden nails are made of domestic beechwood from
sustainable forestry.
The innovative product has a high retention thanks to the
lignin welding effect.
The ecological fastener offers unique features such as corrosion resistance and perfect insulation.
